Weald & Downland is an outdoor museum in which various buildings have been relocated, having been carefully dismantled and meticulously rebuilt in a 40 acre wood land surroundings. The museum aims to depict 950 years of English Rural life, through the preservation. Buildings which might have otherwise been lost due to development or sheer neglect. Sadly with Pam , wheelchair bound we were not able to inspect and therefore appreciate the value of the numerous properties. Over the weekend that we visited there was the additional attraction of a Steam & Vintage weekend, right up Ben and my street, and still sufficiently colourful and fascinating for Pam.
