Spinnaker
Above: Photographic records of our trip to see and go upto the observation platform and Sky Garden, 100 and 110 metres respectively, within the Emirates Spinnaker Tower. A near perfect day weather wise with excellent views over Portsmouth and the surrounding areas, watching the endless activity on both land and sea. First picture the now ubiquitous souvenir photo, which most if not all attractions, wherever you are in the world, seem to offer nowadays. Then a shot from the foot of the tower, showing off its new corporate paint work. One view taken from the 100m observation deck across the harbour entrance, Gosport and the Historic Dockyard. On the right, in port, the very latest and largest Royal Navy vessel HMS Queen Elizabeth, the aicraftless carrier. The third picture, taken by Ben, with him standing on the glass Sky Walk, looking back down to the ground floor and finally a view from the Gosport Ferry, which shows the striking pose of the tower, very much a suitable representative of the nautical character of the area.
