Our second visit to the home of Sir William Armstrong, set in these breathtaking surroundings, on this majestic outcrop amid the Northumberland moors. The weather on this visit was not so kind, it rained throughout the time we were there, which was dissapointing as it limited our opportunities to wander through the grounds. Ben and I did walk over the bridge and made our way to the formal garden. It certainly wasn't worth doing the estate drive, which Pam & I did on our first visit. An interesting property, which we enjoyed exploring for the second time, knowing in advance, some of the history of this ground breaking property.
