Staying this holiday at Southlands Caravan Park in the motorhome, the Mclouis. Tight spot allocated to us up in a corner, at the end of the row of pitches, so really difficult to negotiate out, and equally difficult to get back in! Ended up on occasions using the bus, which we caught in the village, which was a fair walk, from the site, before you even start your day. Despite the difficults of getting in and out we still used the van to get about, visiting the Needles, Fort Victoria, Godshill, Ryde for the Hovercraft, (see picture below) and Osborne House, just to mention a few. A fascinating island, one that all four of us have taken too and will wish continue to return to hopefully in the future.
Above: Nana, me, Ben and Jacob on the Hovercraft experience, taking the craft from the I.O.W to Portsmouth and back, no getting off, just for the experience. Above: On a boat trip, out from the Needles visitor centre, well the beach actually, to get a close up view of the famous Needles and the lighthouse. Above: Ben & Jacob at the Needles Visitor centre and amusement park, where they are seen driving in battery operated cars, negotiating on recreated roadways, with traffic lights and junctions.
