Oswell
The therory is, that the Oswell name originated from the Welsh border town of Oswestry, which is now is Shropshire. This needs to be proven through the work that Ben and Jacob through the various geniological sites. Information was availabe to prove this point through the work of Elizabeth Oswell, which we believe may no longer exist. Questions need to be asked by Richard of his living relatives, this could save a lot of time & money, if it is still available.
