Not staying on the island this year, but in the New Forest. So it's a drive over using the Lymington to Yarmouth ferry, going over in the yellow peril. Just a day trip, but still chance to visit one or two of our favourite spots on the island. First stop the Needles visitor centre, where we made our customary trip down to the beach, using the cable car, with the open chairs. Not my favourite means of transport, especially when it comes to the cliff edge and the drop to the beach. Would much prefer the walk, but you have to show that you are not a scaredy cat. Other than a drive along the south coast of the island we only had time to visit Fort Victoria and the model railway layout.

Our Photographic memories

Above Nana and Ben in the car infront about to make the drop of the cliff - scary. Ben confident enough to turn around to look to see if grand dads face was turning green.

Above: At the Needles experience, first picture, the boys on the beach, then Ben having his first experience of the water ball, which he found frustrating as he just couldn't get to his feet. Then the customary sand ornaments, presents for mum and dad. Jacobs is in the shape of a guitar and Bens the shape of the island. Two more for mum and dad to add to their collection.

Above: A view of Yarmouth as we leave port heading for Lymington and our drive back to the Caravan Club site in the New Forest. Another great day on the island.
